Is it true that Honda have never had an engine failure of a V-Tec engine?
On Top Gear, Jeremy said that in the some 13-million V-tec engines Honda have produced that they have not had one single engine failure!
Is this as remarkable as it sounds?
It also poses the question, what exactly constitutes an engine failure? Obviously all engines need parts replaced over a period of time, I assume that V-Tec engines are no different in this regard.
Still sounds pretty impressive.
That's nonsense. I have personally seen blown V-TEC engines. There is nothing magical about a V-TEC valvetrain that makes the entire motor indestructible.
