Generator damaged by feedback?
My 5000 watt coleman suffered a feedback of electricity. Should I replace the rotor or stator?
Are you sure your windings are damaged? You may want to check the Voltage Regulator first. Then, if that is OK, you can have someone do a test called a hi-pot that will see if the stator has internal grounds. If so, that would be the most likely thing to replace, since the stator produces the current and is connected to the load where your feedback came from.
