Can you use a light stand to hold a photo reflector?
Would a photo light stand work to hold a reflector? I'm thinking of getting Westcott 750 Photo Basics 7.0-Foot Light Stand to hold Westcott 301 Photo Basics 40-Inch 5-in-1 Reflector. I've never worked with reflectors before. thanks.
There are a few reflector arm holders on the market that will clamp on the vertical tubing of your light stand and stick out to hold a reflector of any size. It expands and collapses and has two clips that perfectly take the wire rim of your reflector.
Be sure to weigh down the stand, some reflectors are heavy - while I use 5-in-1 reflectors in the studio I have smaller, standard two-sided reflectors for the reflector arm.
